My name is Laine Spatz-Wherritt and I've loved taking photos for as long as I can remember. From a young age I can remember running around with a disposable film camera from Rite Aid snapping pictures of everything while my mom reminded me to get some people in the frame before we used up all of the film.

Fast forward a few decades and little has changed, except the camera is digital and I don't have to worry about running out of film. I’ve always had a camera in hand—first my iPhone, then my first Canon EOS in my early 20s, and now my Sony. But it wasn’t until I became a mom that photography truly became something more.

Capturing my son’s everyday magic, and the moments that come faster than we can keep up with, showed me how photography lets us hold onto special moments and tell our stories.

Now, I help other people do the same. Whether it’s a growing family, a new chapter, or just a beautiful ordinary day, I’m here to create photos that feel like you. Honest, tender, a little cinematic.

A few things I love: Spending time with my wife, our son, and dog, a good book, all animals (less inclined towards snakes), any film with Meryl Streep or Kate Winslet, and telling stories.
